Question

is it best to stop the vehicle when the vehicle heat is at its peak during a trip or for some reason, or without stopping the engine of the vehicle remove the radiator cap carefully and fill it with water? Which is more correct? please give a clear answer.

Answers

Don't go remove the radiator cap after the heats up. The steam that comes with the heat can burn the hands and face.

Get the vehicle off the road. then open the vehicle's Bonnet and let the engine cool down. After half an hour, open the radiator cap. Fill with hot water now (if found hot water). After half full, start the engine and fill in the blanks (remove the air).

if you found cold water, when the engine starts, fill the water.  One side of the head or go for water can be crack.

As the water fills up, check the oil stick to see if the water is adding to the oil. If that is the case, do not fill the water.
